鄂伦春人世世代代游猎于大小兴安岭的茫茫林海之中，创造了适合森林游猎的狍皮服饰文化。鄂伦春族服装以袍式为主，有皮袍、皮裤、皮坎肩、皮帽、皮手套等。冬季男子普遍穿前后开衩的长袍，妇女也穿长袍，但女袍比男袍长，不是前后开衩，而是两侧开衩。春秋和夏季多穿去毛的光板袍皮短袄和皮裤。
